A Georgetown teen accused of sexually abusing two young children earlier this year was indicted Thursday, Dec. 14 on multiple counts of rape.

According to court documents, Michael Allender, age 17, of 642 Shinkles Ridge Road, is being tried as an adult on three counts of rape, a first-degree felony. Additionally, he faces a charge of third-degree felony gross sexual imposition.

Prosecutors said Allender, a former student at Western Brown High School, is alleged to have engaged in sexual conduct with two children, ages 7 and 8, between July 1 and Aug. 4 of this year.

The teen is being named due to the serious nature of the charges against him.

Allender has pleaded not guilty. Bond was set at $350,000 cash, surety or property. A pre-trial hearing is expected for Jan. 5 in Brown County Common Pleas Court.

  1. While I detest crimes such as what this young man stands accused of, I believe in everyone’s Constitutional right to due process. His identity should have never been publicized until he was found guilty by a court of law. IMO, his Constitutional right to due process has seemingly been violated. He’ll definitely be convicted by the “court of public opinion” now whether he is guilty or not.

  2. I agree with not publishing his name till found guilty. If he is not convicted, his life will not be the same because of this.
