Mt. Orab Police investigate alleged armed robbery-kidnapping

by Aaron Gibson, February 8, 2018

Police in Mt. Orab are investigating a report a man was beaten and kidnapped at gunpoint on Tuesday evening, Feb. 6.

According to the alleged victim, two men, identified as acquaintances Troy Bravard and Shad Amann, knocked on his door in Mt. Orab between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m. Tuesday asking for help with a flat tire. “Everyone knows I fix cars on the side,” he said.

The alleged victim tells us once they reached the spot where the car was parked, Bravard and Amann knocked him unconscious and dragged him into the vehicle, which he described as a green 2000s-model Toyota Camry.

The victim alleges Bravard and Amann then stole his cell phone and some cash while a female suspect drove the car to an isolated area of Matthews Road near Sardinia.

He alleges the male suspects were armed with a handgun and assaulted him a second time on Matthews Road, punching him in the face and kicking his ribs before fleeing the scene with the female suspect.

After finding a way home and contacting police, the victim was treated at Mt. Orab Mercy Medical Center. He sustained fractures to the cheek, knee and rib, as well as two black eyes and several cuts and abrasions in the incident.

Police have interviewed the three suspects, who denied the allegations. No charges have been filed in the case and the investigation is ongoing.

If you have any information on the case, you are encouraged to call the Mt. Orab Police Department at (937) 444-2281.

  1. of course they denied it, you think they’re going to admit to this crap? why no arrests? seems messed up to me

  2. If they haven’t been charged or convicted then take their pictures down. That’s kinda messed up. I’m not saying the are innocent but what if they are ???

  3. They are in jail jumpers . Looks like they’ve been there before so why bother with pulling pics on this case.

  4. Look. They had no part of this. The guy is lying. The reason they arent arrested is bc the cops know its a lie. And they arent “jail jumpers” they’ve only been in there once.
