Man shot in Georgetown, suspect sought

Police are looking for a man in connection with a shooting in Georgetown on Saturday afternoon, May 19.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reports the victim, 46-year-old Fred Lillie, arrived by car at Grandma & Grandpa’s Carryout on US-68 with a gunshot wound around 3:28 p.m. Saturday.

Emergency personnel then transported Lillie to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains in a stable condition.

Investigators say the shooting appears to stem from an altercation between the suspect and victim at 5918 Wells Goecke Road in Georgetown.

The suspect,  36-year-old Calvin Jackson, is believed to have shot Lillie with a shotgun during the altercation. He is expected to be charged with attempted murder and felonious assault.
