A Brown County man has been arrested after he allegedly drank alcohol and took his wife’s car without her permission.
Around 2:00am Sunday morning, Nov 8, an Ohio State Highway patrolman conducted a traffic stop on Daniel Vicente Hernandez, age 27, in Sterling Township near the area of Bardwell-West and Bodman Roads, and immediately detected the odor of alcohol in the vehicle.
Hernandez was placed under arrest after a series of field sobriety tests, according to Trooper Dunn, who was the officer on scene.
Dunn wrote that after he was detained, a woman arrived saying Hernandez is her estranged husband and he did not have her permission to drive the car, a Chrysler Sebring.
Hernandez’ driver’s license was also not valid.
At the Georgetown Patrol Post, Hernandez was Breathalyzed and produced a .084% BAC. He was then booked into the Brown County Adult Detention Center and charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI and first-degree misdemeanor unauthorized use of a vehicle.
