An alleged man-and-woman burglary duo are facing charges after witnesses supposedly saw them removing items from a home near Hamersville.
Jeffrey Carrington and Tequila Brown were identified by the witnesses as potential suspects, according to court records.
A probable cause affidavit filed in Brown County Municipal Court says the witnesses, who are familiar with the residents of the home on Bethel-New Hope Rd, Clark Township, were driving by on Friday morning, Dec 4 when they noticed a tan SUV parked in the driveway.

The driver of the witness’ vehicle parked behind them, and spotted what appeared to be Carrington stealing a leaf blower and Brown stealing what they believe was clothes, according to the affidavit.
When Brown and Carrington realized they had been caught red-handed, they hopped in the SUV, backed into the witness vehicle and sped off, fleeing through the yard, the witnesses allegedly told Brown County Sheriff’s investigators.
During the initial investigation, Carrington was immediately identified as a suspect through a photo line-up shown to the witnesses. Brown was not identified until investigators spoke with her mother, who told them she had mentioned backing into a vehicle that matched the description as the one belonging to a witness, according to court records.
Brown and Carrington have each been charged with one count of second-degree felony burglary.
Brown was taken into custody Tuesday evening, Dec 8. She was released and transferred to Clermont County Jail for unrelated charges the following day, as the burglary case is being handed over to the grand jury for a possible future indictment in Brown County Court of Common Pleas.
Carrington was taken into custody Wednesday evening, Dec 9 in Clermont County. He is expected to remain there until March 2016 while he serves a sentence for contempt of court, according to jail records.
