An Aberdeen man was arrested Wednesday, May 4 accused of strangling his mother at a Huntington Township address.
Billy Joe Ramsey faces one third-degree felony count of domestic violence and one second-degree misdemeanor count of resisting arrest in the incident.
Ramsey allegedly attempted to evade an arrest by Sgt. Jamey Sininger of Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Sininger and Deputy Sarah Mckinzie were able to place Ramsey under arrest without harm to the officers, according to officials.
According to court documents, Ramsey has four domestic violence convictions in Brown County Municipal Court since 2009, with the most recent being last September.
Ramsey was booked into the Brown County Adult Detention Center and is expected in court May 25 for a preliminary hearing.
