A Russellville man is under arrest after he allegedly took police on a high-speed pursuit with two children in his vehicle.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Brown County Municipal Court, William Boitnott was stopped by Russellville police for loud exhaust and driving with a suspended license on Nov 27.
Boitnott allegedly did not want his vehicle to be towed and took off from officers at a high rate of speed, according to the affidavit.
The pursuit was brief, ending outside of Boitnott’s residence on North Kendle Street in Russellville.
Officer Bradley Liming noted in the affidavit Boitnott was then taken into custody without further incident.
Boitnott is being charged with third-degree felony failure to comply with an order or signal of police officer, two counts of first-degree misdemeanor endangering children, and one count of first-degree misdemeanor driving under suspension. Bond was set at $10,000 cash, surety or property.
