A Georgetown woman accused of selling jewelry stolen in a burglary has been arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.
Kelsey Price, of Markley Square Apartments, allegedly sold an estimated $15,900 worth of stolen jewelry to the Cashland Financial Services located on OH-125 in Georgetown, according to records filed Friday, Dec 4 in Brown County Municipal Court.
According to the criminal complaint, Price allegedly sold the jewelry on Dec 2, the same day the 66-year-old victim’s home had been burglarized.
The items Price allegedly sold include bracelets, chains, necklaces, rings and earrings, which the victim was able to confirm is theirs.
Price is currently facing one count of fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property in the case, and is being held in the Butler County Jail per contract with Brown County. Bond has been set at $7,000.
