A Brown County grand jury indicted a man on March 11 suspected of committing a series of burglaries between late October and early December 2015.
Robert Casey Weise, age 25, has been charged in connection with three burglaries reported in Brown County.
Weise was indicted Friday, March 11 on three counts of second-degree felony burglary, one count of third-degree felony grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance, two counts of fifth-degree felony theft and one count of fifth-degree felony theft from a person in a protected class.
According to detectives, Weise allegedly stole a .38 caliber Taurus revolver, two flat screen televisions, necklaces, rings, and various other pieces of jewelry from the victims between Oct. 27 and Dec. 2, 2015.

Detectives said the investigation into Weise began on Dec. 2, 2015 after suspect Kelsey Price allegedly sold stolen jewelry to Cashland Financial Services in Georgetown. The victim, age 66, told investigators the jewelry had been stolen from their home on North Pole Road near Ripley earlier that day.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Brown County Municipal Court, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on Weise and Price’s apartment at Markley Square in Georgetown on Dec. 4, recovering a stolen Samsung 50-inch flat screen television. A witness told detectives they spotted Weise and a second man allegedly carrying the stolen television into the apartment.
Weise and Price were then charged with receiving stolen property while detectives continued the burglary investigation.
The case against Price has not been presented to a grand jury for indictment at this time. Price is currently charged in Municipal Court with three counts of fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property and is free on bond awaiting a preliminary hearing on March 21.
At press time, Weise is incarcerated at the Butler County Jail per contract with Brown County.
