An Aberdeen man is under arrest on charges alleging he raped a 16-year-old in Ripley last December.
Jesse A. Arnold, age 41, was arrested Feb. 11 on one count of first-degree felony rape.
According to court records, Arnold allegedly raped the 16-year-old between Dec. 17 and Dec. 20, 2015, and the victim’s ability to resist or consent was substantially impaired because of a mental or physical condition.
Anthony W. Arnold was also booked into the Brown County Adult Detention Center on a fifth-degree felony obstructing justice charge in connection with the case. He allegedly told officers attempting to arrest suspect Jesse Arnold he was not inside of the home, when in fact Jesse Arnold was in the same room.
Both men remain in jail awaiting arraignment.
