A Mt. Orab man accused of secretly video recording his ex-wife naked and then texting her the video a year later was sentenced to probation on Tuesday, March 1.
Brent Frazee pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree misdemeanor telecommunications harassment in Brown County Municipal Court, receiving one year of probation, a 180-day suspended jail sentence, and must pay $422.00 in fines and court costs. Additionally, Frazee must complete 40 hours of community service, undergo a mental health assessment, may not have contact with the victim and must return “contraband” to the victim.
According to a probable cause affidavit written by Detective Jason Hahn of Mt. Orab Police, in a harassing manner in Nov. 2015, Frazee allegedly texted his ex-wife several photos and a 23-second video of her nude that were apparently produced with a hidden camera in their bathroom.
The ex-wife told investigators she was unaware the photographs or videos existed until he sent them, and their production was done without her consent. She explained to investigators she suspected the pictures and video had been created during a period in 2014 after the two had split but still lived in the same home, according to Hahn in the affidavit.
As part of the plea, a second-degree misdemeanor charge of voyeurism against Frazee was dismissed.
